The Arrow and the Song Poem Summary in English
The poem may seem like it is just about a person who shot an arrow and then later found it in a tree, but there is a deeper meaning in the lines of the poem. This poem talks about someone shooting an arrow and losing it, and then they sing a song and the song disappears but later find it in a friend. This poem’s theme is based on the fact that words are unbroken. When the person in the poem shoots the arrow it is like when we lash out at someone or say unkind words. After we say those words we may not always see the consequences like when the person couldn’t find the arrow.
However, eventually, those words will come back and there will be a time when we regret ever saying them. The arrow was not broken, just like our words, they are unbroken. They will forever be in our world if you let them out. Nonetheless, words are not just hurtful, they can be touching. This is like in the poem. The character sang a song and when it disappeared they weren’t regretful about what they said. When they found these words again they were in the heart of a friend. If we choose our words with thought and think before we speak our words can touch people’s hearts.
