The Rebel Class 7 Poem Summary in English
The poem “The Rebel” talks about a person who always does things differently from what everyone else does in society. For example, if people have short hair, the rebel grows long hair, and if others have long hair, the rebel cuts theirs short. The rebel stays quiet when everyone talks in class and causes a disturbance when others are silent.
When everyone wears a uniform, the rebel wears very colourful clothes. If people like dogs, the rebel likes cats. The rebel prefers sunshine when others want rain, and vice versa. When others attend meetings, the rebel wants to stay home and read, and when others stay home to read, the rebel goes to the meeting. Instead of saying “Yes, please,” the rebel says “No, thank you.”
The poet acknowledges that having rebels is good for bringing about change, but at the same time, the poet suggests that being a rebel all the time may not be a good thing.

The poet says that it is not good to be a rebel because a rebel causes problems for others and is left alone but at the same time it is good because it is the rebel who comes up with new ideas and has the guts to stand against the evils of society.
