Ans. The butter was packed in the month of January.

Which month will it be 180 days after 15/01/06?

Ans. We know in one month, there are 30 or 31 days so 6 months = Nearly about 180 days (30 × 6)

Now counting of 180 days after 15/01/06

15th Jan. to 31st Jan. = 16 days

1st Feb. to 28th Feb. = 28 days

1st Mar. to 31st Mar. = 31 days

1st Apr. to 30th Apr. = 30 days

1st May to 31st May = 31 days

1. A bus leaves Delhi for Shimla at 7:20 a.m. It takes 9 hours to reach Shimla. At what time does the bus reach Shimla?

Sol. 9 hours after 7:20 a.m. time is 16:20 i.e. 4:20 p.m.

So, the bus reaches Shimla at 4:20 p.m. Ans.

2. A film show starts at 3:15 p.m. It runs for 2 hours 40 minutes. At what time does the show ends?

Sol. 2 hours after 3:15 p.m. time is 5:15 p.m.

40 minutes after 5:15 p.m. time is 5:55 p.m.

So, the show ends at 5.55 p.m. Ans. 

3. Anjum leaves her home for school at 6:30 a.m. She reaches school after 40 minutes. At what time does she reach school?

Sol. 40 minutes after 6:30 a.m. time is 7:10 a.m.

So, Anjum reaches school at 7:10 a.m.  Ans.

4. Aasma drove to her friend’s house. She left at 10:30 a.m. and reached at 4:20 p.m. How many hours and minutes did the journey take?

Sol. 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. = 30 minutes 

11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m = 5 hours 

4:00 p.m. to 4:20 p.m = 20 minutes 

Total time = 5 hours 50 minutes. 

So, the journey took 5 hours 50 minutes. Ans.
