From Alice in Wonderland Summary in English
Alice was dreaming of a Wonderland. She and her sister were sitting on a bank of a river. Her sister was reading the book but she sat idle as she doesn’t like the book without pictures. Suddenly a white rabbit with pink eyes ran close by her. It was saying to itself. ‘Oh, dear! Oh, dear! I shall be late!’
Rabbit took out a watch from the waistcoat pocket, looked at it and then hurried on. Alice hasn’t seen a rabbit with a waistcoat pocket. She ran after the rabbit and followed it into a large rabbit hole. She saw cupboards and bookshelves. She saw maps and pictures hanging on the walls while falling. She took down a jar from one of the shelves, it was labelled Orange Jam but was empty.
Alice wondered that she might have fallen to the centre of the earth. At last, the fall was over and she fall over a heap of sticks and dry leaves. She didn’t see the Rabbit but found herself in a long hall that was lit up by a row of lamps hanging from the roof. Alice found himself locked in the hall and she wondered how she could get out again.
Then suddenly she saw a golden key lying on a little three-legged table. She tried to unlock the doors but she couldn’t because either lock was too large or the key was too small. Then she found a little door behind a curtain and a key opened the lock of that door.
The door led into a small passage that opened to a beautiful garden. Alice wanted to go there but she was too big to enter the doorway. She found a bottle on which was written DRINK ME. She drank it and shrink in size and went through the passage to the lovely garden.
Alice reached the garden but found that she forgot the key on the table and went back to get the key but was not able to reach the table. Then he saw a little glass box lying under the table. She found a small cake in it on which was written EAT ME. She ate the cake and got bigger. Now she reaches out to the table for the golden key but was too big to pass through the door.
